Still need to tidy up all the wiring but it’s getting there. My own little place to relax and clear my head. Who needs a guest room when you can have a game room instead? If we ever have visitors they can sleep on the couch or GTFO.

Needs more Dreamcast.

Looks like you’ve got room for a PS4, speakers and a speaker amp. It’d be a waste to let that space go unused.

This.

I have a XBONE on the Big screen in the living room. I’m ok with that for now.
The 2 empty spaces will be game/accesory storage

Very nice! But I don’t see a Vectrex.

Good stuff with that one.

I never heard of that before. I was primarily focusing on the systems I had as a kid. I think I now have everything I had as a kid except the Sega Game Gear and the original Gameboy

Does the screen overlay actually have a purpose?

Are you talking the Super Nintendo? If so I’d have to agree. I think it’s my favorite of them all. The original NES a very close second.

I played Sonic 2 for a solid 3 hours last night. I think it’s still my favorite Genesis game.

ah that was a good one. I just remember playing mortal kombat on my friends for hours

I just played it for about an hour. I just stopped playing to post this.
I bought that just last year brand new. Somehow sears still had one left and it was on clearance. I got it for $40 bucks sealed new in box.
Fucking bargain if you ask me.

That’s the next game I’m getting.

I was talking about the 64, AKA the best one of the lot.

such a classic. and fatalities were amazing haha

Really? It’s the one I least enjoy. I’m actually considering selling it. The graphics are just way too blocky for me.

But Super Mario 64 !!

LOL nice! I got mine for $215 USD after taxes in January 2010... right when it came out! I still have it at home, but the LCD is completely broken... I wonder if I can buy another???
![]() 10/13/2015 at 01:44 |

I think it is just to add graphics to the screen the system wasn’t capable of.

I never heard of it until I started watching that guys videos. I think Torchinsky has one.
I don’t have the problem of collecting systems I had as a kid because I never got rid of them, haha.

There was a time when I could beat Sonic 2 in about 20 minutes. I tried about a year ago and it took me a few hours but I still managed to do it.

Grats, you have a nice and sensible wife.
Also, nice console museum. That 2600 looks like its hooked up, it still work?

That’s a dope as 90s game room. Haven’t you played all the worthwhile PSP games yet?!

I did not get rid of them by choice. I had every single one of them at my dad’s house. When my dad and my evil step mom split up she stole them and gave them all to her nephew.
I’m still mad about it. The consoles are not that big a deal but the games were almost priceless. I had all the best stuff, I now look in the game stores and the games I had are like $80-$120 EACH! I probably lost 3 grand in games at today’s prices.

Yup just bought it last week. Works like a dream.

I’ve only played gran turismo and some ATV game I got for 2 bucks.
I’ll be working on getting more games for it.

That sucks. Good luck on finding them all.
I’m amazed at some of the prices of old games. There are versions of Contra selling for like $50. You used to find them at garage sales for pocket change.
I think my currently most valuable games are the Megaman Legends games. I have a copy of Dragonball GT: Final Bout for the PS1 and that used to be worth about $400. It was an immaculate copy until I lent it to a friend around 2000-2001. Got it back with a cracked case, book cover torn in half and he disc doctored it for me because it stopped working. I was a bit pissed. It works fine, but still...

Awesome :D I love that little guy.
Not sure if Monster Hunter is your thing, and there is a bit of an entrance barrier. But if you get into it it’s so awesome

The oh-so versatile Ikea cube shelves.
I might actually do something like this as well with my Ikea shelves, though my console lineup will be:
PSX, PS2, PS3, PS4
SNES, N64, GameCube
DreamCast
PSP, GBA, DS Lite
